Wednesday, November 1, 2017 — Atlanta-area Simon centers are celebrating the season with festive happenings for families and shoppers to enjoy. Throughout November and December, Calhoun Outlet Marketplace, Lenox Square, Mall of Georgia, North Georgia Premium Outlets, Phipps Plaza, Sugarloaf Mills and Town Center at Cobb are hosting seasonal events like the Macy’s Great Tree Lighting, Santa arrival celebrations, specialty photos, holiday blood drives and more for guests to revel in during the most wonderful time of year!

The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program: Beginning in December

Macy’s Pink Pig: Now through December 31
Atlanta’s most treasured holiday tradition is here! Macy’s Pink Pig, Priscilla, will once again carry children of all ages through a life-sized storybook filled with friends and fun beneath the signature 170-foot, 1950’s themed Pink Pig tent.   • Pet Photos with Santa: November 12 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. and December 10 from 7:30-9:30 p.m.
    Pets have Christmas wishes too! On November 12, families are welcome to bring their furry best friends for an unforgettable picture with Santa Claus in the Macy’s Court. Guests can enter the mall through the Main Mall entrance near Sprinkles and Nike. Please refrain from bringing reptiles or exotic animals. Advance registration is recommended on Eventbrite.
  • Caring Santa: December 3 from 8-10 p.m.
    Caring Santa is a private event designed for children and young adults with special needs and their families to have an opportunity to have their photos taken with Santa. Lenox Square has made necessary adjustments to the environment to support the sensory, physical and other developmental needs of children of all abilities for this special event. The event will be held during private mall hours in the Macy’s Court in order to provide a calmer, sensory-friendly environment. Due to this, families are asked to enter the mall using the Main Mall Entrance in between Sprinkles and Nike. Guests can register in advance on Eventbrite.

Macy's Great Tree Lighting: November 19 at 7 p.m.
The Great Tree Lighting will celebrate its 70th anniversary this year! Festivities will begin with a pre-show concert featuring performances and behind-the-scenes interviews by the evening’s entertainers at 6:30 p.m. The celebration will be capped off with a fantastic fireworks finale set to holiday music – a moving and memorable way to kick off the holiday season! The Great Tree will be on display November 19 through January 2, 2018.

Tree Lighting: November 18 from 4-9 p.m.
Mall of Georgia will make spirits bright from 4-9 p.m. in the Village with a special welcome to good ole’ Saint Nick! Guests will be entertained with holiday-themed performances from a DJ, live entertainment, the Salvation Army Band and APA Superstars; the annual 50-foot Christmas tree lighting; visits from Santa and Papa Elf; a special Movie Under the Stars presentation of “The Polar Express” on a 55-foot screen; holiday activities and more! Attendees are welcome to bring chairs and blankets. Plan to come early, grab a seat, sip a cocktail and enjoy as Mall of Georgia welcomes the season with open (and warm) arms!

Mall of Georgia will host The Salvation Army for the annual Angel Tree program, which provides new clothing and toys for children of families in need. This year’s Angel Tree will be located on the lower level near Gap. Representatives will be available Monday –Saturday from 11 a.m. –8 p.m.

Red Cross Blood Drives: November 25 – 27; December 10-11 and December 23 – 24 from 12-5 p.m.
Mall of Georgia invites shoppers to celebrate the season of giving by donating blood! Trained Red Cross staff will collect donations from noon-5 p.m. in the Upper Level near Dick’s Sporting Goods. Visit redcrossblood.org to schedule an appointment in advance, and enter code ‘moga’ for Mall of Georgia.

Sounds of the Season: December 7 and 8 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Local community, church and school groups will put on festive holiday performances in the Dining Pavilion for shoppers to get in the spirit of the season.

Breakfast with Santa: December 2 from 8:30-10 a.m.
Start off the day the right way with a scrumptious breakfast, holiday activities and a story time with Santa and Papa Elf in the Dining Pavilion! This event is free for Family at Mall of Georgia members and $5 for adults. Guests can sign up for Family at Mall of Georgia at the event or at Guest Services. Ice Skating Rink: November 17 – January 5
North Georgia Premium Outlets will be home to a 3,200 square-foot ice skating rink from November 17 to January 5. Shoppers can lace up, enjoy free popcorn and have the option to purchase water with proceeds going to the Dawson Community Food Bank. The skating rink will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, and to purchase tickets, please visit Eventbrite.

Santa Arrival Celebration: November 3 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
The community is invited to welcome everyone’s favorite jolly man at Town Center at Cobb’s annual Santa Arrival Celebration! Shoppers can gather outside the Food Court Main Entrance (between Belk and JCPenney) at 6 p.m. to welcome Saint Nick with a festive parade of reindeer, stilt walkers and a magical snowfall. Guests can also look forward to face painting, activities, giveaways and more! Photos will be available until 9 p.m. in Center Court for all wishing to visit Santa and the first 200 people to visit with Kris Kringle will receive a special gift. In addition, shoppers can stop for a photo opportunity with his trusty reindeer outside of the mall.
